Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the “Moodboard Downloader” application (the “Application”) handles information. The Application is a personal-use tool operated by Andreas Ibsen that connects to Pinterest, with your authorization, to download images and metadata from your own Pinterest boards to your own computer.

Information the Application accesses
When you authorize the Application through Pinterest, it can read:

Your Pinterest boards (names and identifiers);
The pins on those boards, including image URLs, titles, descriptions, and links.
The Application requests read-only access (boards:read and pins:read). It cannot create, edit, or delete anything in your Pinterest account.

How information is used
Accessed data is used solely to download the corresponding board images and metadata to the device on which the Application is run, at your request. It is used for no other purpose.

Storage and sharing
All downloaded images and metadata are stored locally on your own device.
Authorization tokens issued by Pinterest are stored locally on your device so that the Application can run without re-authorizing each time.
The Application does not transmit your data to any server, third party, or analytics service operated by the developer. There is no backend.
Your data is not sold, rented, or disclosed to anyone.
Third-party services
The Application interacts only with Pinterest’s official API. Your use of Pinterest is also governed by Pinterest’s Privacy Policy.

Data retention and deletion
Because all data is stored locally on your own device, you control its retention. To delete it, remove the downloaded files and the stored token file from your device. You may also revoke the Application’s access at any time from your Pinterest account settings.

Children’s privacy
The Application is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
